Sprouts and microgreens are chock-full of essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. An additional advantage is that they can easily be grown indoors in a few days, all year round. Sprouts are only grown in or on water. Microgreens, on the other hand, are cultivated on a growing medium and cut before harvesting. Sprout seeds are subject to food law. This means that we test them for the presence of Salmonella spp, Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli O157:H7 and EHEC (Enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli). All according to strict HACCP regulations.
